Prescription Meds and Street Drugs

It really is quite scary at just how many prescriptions are dispensed these days. It seems like there is a pill for everything. We have become a society of pill dependent people and it is just getting progressively worse.

I'm not saying that there aren't times that medication is needed such as severe situations of depression , I'm more concerned with the painkillers and anti-anxiety meds that are passed out like candy. So many of our young people get hooked on this stuff,then when the script runs out they are looking for alternatives on the street. In comes Heroin.

If you are not living under a rock you have to be aware of just how much of an epidemic this has become.It is no longer a social class problem. It has invaded our streets and our homes.

So the next time you see a professional who is scribbling out a bunch of scripts on a pad,make sure you are asking about all the side effects and more importantly...why? Namaste!
